Indian Rock Python Skull - Huge 11.5cm Specimen
Unique must have collectibles for all snake lovers and bone collectors, these incredible python skulls have been meticulously processed and are in A1 condition.
Closely related to the Burmese Python, the Indian Rock Python is one of the largest snake species in the world. They have a thick body covered with colored blotches, often joining up in a broad, irregular stripe. Body markings vary between brown, olive, chestnut, and yellow. The head of these snakes is triangular and is marked on top with a dark brown spear-head outlined in yellow.
Like all pythons, the scales of the Indian rock python are small and smooth. Those around the lips possess heat-sensitive pits, which are used to detect warm-blooded prey, even in the dark. Pythons also possess two functioning lungs, unlike more advanced snakes, which have only one, and also have small, visible pelvic spurs, believed to be the vestiges of hind limbs. Males in this species are typically smaller than females.
Note: Several specimens are available and all are of equal size and quality.
