Unique collectors piece featuring a large snake skeleton mounted on black upholstery velvet with four Acherontia styx specimens - the iconic Death’s Head Hawkmoth. The frame is embellished with warm, rust toned preserved botanicals, all meticulously hand placed inside this incredible antique frame.
The entire artwork is handcrafted, from the preparation and mounting of the specimens to the meticulously placed flowers and moss.
The frame is vintage - circa 1900 - including the original bubble glass. The ornate frame is an antique quality item and crafted from timber. At 63cm x 48cm, this is an amazingly proportioned piece of art and the largest bubble frame we have worked with!
