Golden Orb Weaving Spider on Preserved Spider Web in Large Shadow Box
This is a REAL spider web, carefully preserved to maintain its integrity and original condition. This abandoned web was found amongst native trees in Rookwood Cemetery, Sydney. I collected and preserved the web along with the abandoned leaf coil, so it can be treasured forever.
The web belonged to a Leaf Curling Spider, a species commonly found in Eastern Australia. They use a leaf from the ground and coil it using silk threads to create a protective shelter to live in. The original coiled leaf is included in this display.
A Golden Orb Weaving Spider is mounted upon the web and contained within a black shadow box frame. The frame includes a folding strut for seamless display on your shelf or cabinet of curiosities. A genuine glass cover protects this unique piece of art.
